Passengers at the Will Rogers World Airport will also find newsagents and gift shops on both concourses, along with a great selection of cafés, restaurants and bars, and even a landscaped Plaza Garden. There are cash machines located on the ticketing level, as well as a nursery, first-aid station and a shoeshine service, while a Skycap porter service is available outside the terminal. Today, the Oklahoma City Airport Trust, an organisation that was founded in 1956, manages the airport. This investment was considered to be a brave move by many in the aviation industry, since air traffic had recently sharply decreased. In 2001, the 1960s terminal was extended at the cost of more than $100 million and completed in 2006. Over the past two decades, much has changed at the airport and many major milestones have been achieved, including substantial terminal improvements. Oklahoma City's airport is officially named the Will Rogers World Airport (OKC), after the famous comedian and humorist William Penn Adair Rogers (1879-1935), who originated from Oklahoma's nearby town of Oologah.
